Doesn't seem like it was as hard as the one I took a couple years ago

Re: Is everybody ready for the J! tests this week???
I have never tanked anything so badly in my life. Okay, make that "any test". Except the one in a dream, the classic dream, where I had to show up for a test in a course I didn't know I was enrolled in. Yup. Had that one once.
Even the ones I knew I had brain freeze on. Then I had finger-freeze. Then I misspelled. Gaaa.
It was scary.
On the bright side, if the Bus comes around again here this summer, I will be free to go stand in line at it.

Re: Is everybody ready for the J! tests this week???
so Dave what was the answer to the Sports Question?
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Just finished it (or rather it just finished me).
Much harder then previous ones I've taken in my opinion - it will be close but I doubt that I made the cut-off.

I hate when I knew an answer and somehow didn't get it typed in on time.
I wish that is the only thing I did wrong.

I just finished taking it.
There was LOTS of recent pop culture stuff on it.
Now I just have to wait to see if they invite me to Chicago. I think I did better on it this year.

Re: Is everybody ready for the J! tests this week???
I froze on so many questions I knew the answer to that I can't even rightly gauge how many I really didn't know.
Bad stuff happened in the real world of "here" today. Bad bad bad. Not to me specifically as yet, but bad.
Guess I let it get to me?

I guessed Madagascar for the second-largest island one.

Re: Is everybody ready for the J! tests this week???
I found it hard, although the sports and recent pop culture I got right. I forgot Poe wrote the first mystery story, for instance. I did not get the island question right, answer they want from my Googling afterwards is New Guinea, I think.

Everyone took this test at the same time and there'll be different tests tomorrow and Thursday, so you don't need to worry about spoilers.gotribego26 wrote:PM Sentthemanintheseersuckersuit wrote:so Dave what was the answer to the Sports Question?

Re: Is everybody ready for the J! tests this week???
Ditto, but that was the only one I missed in the first ten. I nailed this one! Virtually certain I got 40 or more. Plus at least two that I recalled about a question too late. Gotta look up one, because it's gonna bother me otherwise. One of those answers just sitting in the back of my mind and it just won't come forward.gotribego26 wrote:So did I.DaveSenior72 wrote:Don't remember the question...

New Guinea's what Wikipedia says. I feel like this one was easier than the test last year.

I did that so often it wasn't funny. I want to work out a way to get through this without looking at the damn clock next year. But you have to hit "submit" or your answer won't count either. And to see the "submit" square you have to look at the clock.
