Congrats on the big win!

It looks like A.J. was better today than what I saw yesterday, or at least our BB was confident enough to go with his answer in a big spot.

TexasMommy, have you found someone who will come through with a recording for you? I verified that today's episode (on KCAL in Los Angeles) was the one that aired elsewhere yesterday. They are supposed to air today's episode tomorrow. Once that airs, do you want me to burn them to DVR, or have you already made arrangements with someone else?

Congratulations on your win. I'd have been tempted to guess Texas on the last question, since I've always heard much criticism about what a large and unwieldy document it has become.

Holy crap! I literally knew only 1 of those 7 questions.....

Congrats TexasMommy! It's a shame WWTBAm had to schedule you on the worst possible day for anyone to be able to see your show, but I'm sure they'll pay you just the same.....

Interesting set of distractors. Mediterranean fish - haddock; priest's robe - cassock; Turkish tribesman - Cossak (or maybe "Ottoman").

It's possible that Mach might have been a chemist but acoustics is a branch of physics so it's more logical to go that direction.

The only reason I know this is because my son and daughter-in-law watched the movie on cable and I happened to catch a part of it.

I would have had no idea and would have gone with the PAF also - someone who could Google it. TexasMommy, if I may ask, why did you choose Roger rather than Bob?

I'd be using lifelines here - might as well give the expert a shot, but be prepared to Double Dip. I might have gone down with the ship, though, because my DD answers would have bee B and C.

All in all a great run, TexasMommy. Please regale us with the behind-the-scenes stuff that we love to hear about.

I think the writers deliberately threw in fish as a choice to see if somebody under the pressure of TDC might confuse hassock and haddock.

$100K: Let's ask AJ first. Since Alabama is at the beginning of the alphabet, if this fact is in the Encyclopaedia Britannica, then he should nail it. If he doesn't know, then I'll PAF.

Excellent job, Kristin! :D

Yikes! WWOQ! My hunch would have been California, because of all the amendments that frequently make the political campaign news. When has the Alabama constitution ever been in the news (outside of Alabama)?

Congratulations, TexasMommy! :D

This would have cost me a lifeline (or two) for sure. While I was familiar with a hassock as a padded stool I also thought it could be a priest's robes. Turns out I was confusing it with a cassock.

As opposed to a Cossack I suppose. Of course I think of Cossacks as Eastern European/Ukranian/Russian but not Turkish.

Congratulations on your great showing! You were a bright spot in an otherwise ho-hum week. I'm just disappointed to not actually see the second half of your show. I had the TV on all afternoon with the volume down just to see if it showed late in CA, but no such luck. My college roommate/PAF also taped for you in NC, but no luck on her end either. I hope you were able to get a copy, and I'll hope to see it in repeats in the summer.

Enjoy your winnings and all the fun that goes with it!
