I need 3 hair appointments between now and then - one just for a cut - one for color and highlights and one the day before the wedding,

I scheduled all of them yesterday-Natalie will be proud of me.

Maybe I'm done editing. I can't type worth a damn on that Blackberry!

Anyway, back to the wedding - today we choose the menu. That will help us figure out where we are in the budget(Natalie and I laugh at that word but you know who thinks we have one!)

That's "tangy" tomato dipping sauce! With miniature sliders.

Is the food from the venue or from outside caterers? I hope you can do a taste test, though that didn't help us much. The food at the wedding was MUCH better than what we had at their mass tasting (everyone scheduled for the coming year was invited, to help you decide on your menu). For example, we had been horribly disappointed in their coffee at the tasting. At the wedding, it was some of the best mass-produced (i.e., restaurant quantities) coffee I'd ever had, and I'm pretty fussy.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

The food is from the venue. We were at a wedding reception there last Saturday night. I called it a reconnaissance
mission. :) We are doing a tasting today of items we requested. We're pretty familiar with most of the food.

Speaking of weddings...

Maddie and Emma love looking at wedding gowns and wedding stuff. When Emma was having a magazine drive at school she needed to sell one more magazine to take a friend on a limo lunch trip, so I subscribed to Bride Magazine because it was only $10 for a year.

They must sell their mailing lists, because you wouldn't believe the catalogues that I have been getting lately.

We got Natalie's wedding gown for $500.00. It had to be taken in
as well as shortened. It has a strapless, beaded top. We also wanted the cathedral length train
to be able to be bustled for the reception. Natalie had at least 4 fittings, maybe more. We picked it last week.
I thought it would be at least another $200 for alterations. When she handed me the bill, it was $45.00!!
I couldn't believe it! It looks and fits great too.

Holy Crappola Batman! I expected it to be the cost of the dress, at least!

SERIOUS deal!!

This is the place where I have looked at wedding dresses. A couple of the Lorrie Kabala dresses and one of the Damianous.

(NO, no, no. No jumping to conclusions, peeps. We have no date yet -- we are waiting to see recuperation from the surgery. But I wanted TLAF to see what I looked like in my wedding dress. Just in case.)

What a pretty girl!

Looking forward to more fun details as they unfurl.

And let the unfurling commence!
