What's with Simon refusing to pronounce her name correctly?

Does he say care 'car'.

Does he say Bare Naked Ladies Bar Naked Ladies?

He is English. They says things weird.

At least the one I know best does!

Okay, I get that.

He was corrected. He said I can't say the ah (or however you write that sound) sound. I say "Nonsense - he is being a jerk"

There's this Rodgers and Hart song called "Zip," which purports to list what Gypsy Rose Lee thought about while she was stripping. One of the couplets goes:
