Geez... My performance is getting worse. I may have to dredge up some other fantasies or try for some real humor to kickstart myself out of the lower reaches.

MinisKidToBeNamedLater wrote:Four years ago, I made Bored history by becoming the first person to ever post a game before I was even born. My Uncle Beast was kind enough to allow me to write this game for him which contained some naming suggestions for me, and he used it as one of his Wacky Wednesday games during the December 2004 LS. Six days after I posted this game, I came into this world and of course, wasn't given any of these 12 fine names.
Spoiler
I don't recognize any of these lyrics, but I will take that as a clue that these songs all have a girl's name as or in the title. Forward!

1. You're always on the run now
Running after somebody, you gotta get him somehow
I think you've got to slow down before you start to blow it
I think you're headed for a breakdown, so be careful not to show it

The Ballad of Marion Jones, by the Balco Boys

2. Poor old Johnny Ray
Sounded sad upon the radio
He moved a million hearts in mono
Our mothers cried and sang along and who'd blame them

Fur Elise, by Ludwig van Beethoven

3. Come to me tonight,
come to me tonight,
taking everything in sight,
except for the strings on my kite

Annie's Song, by John Denver

4. Babe, tomorrow's so far away
There's something I just have to say
I don't think I can hide what I'm feelin' inside
Another day, knowin' I love you

Layla. Every LS game has to have a Layla somewhere.

Okay, this isn't going to get any better, and it's the second time I've tried to reply. It's Judy's Turn to Cry.
Now generating the White Hot Glare of Righteousness on behalf of BBs everywhere.

JJC Points:

mntetn got a JJC point for adding an E onto the end of both Left and Bank, which I thought was amusing (For some reason, I always thougth it was Left that had the extra E and not Bank....)

Melo got a JJC for overall humor effort...

I was oh so tempted to give Fanny a JJC for answering BW Stevenson instead of RB Greaves due to the initials and Maria song connection, but that would be like rewarding someone for being wrong..... well, I guess that is the whole point of JJC points right? Hey, I can't give her JJC points every game!

1000aire got 2 JJC points, one for the peeing joke, and another for slamming my employer....

KT got a JJC point for missing the Starship song. Something had to be really messed up in the universe for that....

elwood got a JJC point for answering Camp Grenada to one of the songs. Can't believe nobody else thought to do that after my thread yesterday....

Clem got 3 JJC's because his point whore said he should. I couldn't supermax him this time since he actually got three of the songs right....

SC got a JJC point for Judy's Turn To Cry, which could easily explain her lack of answers and all the trouble she had trying to reply to the thread....

Estonut got a JJC point for answering Governator on Take a Letter Maria....

Would it be possible to add the names of those of us who played the game and scored 0 points?

Just to highlight the difference between those whose consistent, daily play has earned them a place in the cellar and those who do a drive-by play, once or twice?

That's why I didn't get upset repeating myself since I wasn't sure if I'd said it over here or not.....

Are you saying I should take up precious notebook space for people who score zero? And in the end, why does it matter since I don't list how many games everyone played in the standings?

Another reason for you to try for JJC points every game!!!!! The fewer you get correct, the more generous I am with the JJC's....

Would you like a donation to pay for another notebook? I'll even enter the dollar bill into Where's George before I send it!

Since "the cellar" has become one of those concepts that the Bored has deemed worthy of attention*, I'm saying you should list how many games everyone plays, in order to work that into the cellar rankings. Or else give everyone a default point every day, unless they prove by an explicit entry that they don't deserve it! :P

*Yes, the whole thing is absurd. Absurdity is a cherished tradition.

I would like to state, for the record, that I was not the one who brought him up.
We, the HK Brigade, do hereby salute you, Marley, for your steadfast devotion to ontopicosity. Well done, sir!

I was a Seat Filler. A radio station my husband and s-i-l buy air time from called and said they needed to fill the seats beside the stage so they gave us tickets. I like sitting there better since you're close but behind the speakers. And free is always good for me...
What?
