I would imagine the lawyers would think that there might be an appearance of game show fixing if people are hand picked form here.flockofseagulls104 wrote:I reiterate my idea. I see no problem with picking people for the show from the Bored.

Does anyone think this might have something to do with why Million Dollar Password is on "hold" for now? Maybe Regis will be other wise occupied?

See! I was right!!! ABC DOES remember that BAM's 10th anniversary is this summer. I even wrote Steve Beverly and told him I thought a revival was a great idea-and to "put that idea into Michael Davies' brain".
Now if only Mr. Davies would consider an online test for syndi BAM

Re: WWTBAM & Regis Return To ABC This Summer -- Maybe
Hi, I'm new to this website. I've been going here for over a year reading the transcripts and everything else. Now I finally decided that I should on here so I did. Anyway, here's what I think of this revival.
Pros:
- Regis is Back!
- Possible revival of Fastest Finger round. I really missed that.
- Original lifelines and everything!
- Maybe more $125,000 winners or more! No more clueless undiscovered New York actors or actresses going out with $8,000 or $16,000.
- This could also possibly bring back the celebrity editions, which I miss (especially Comedy Edition).
- It's an excellent way to celebrate the show's 10th Anniversary.
Cons:
- If this were to happen, would they be discarding Syndicated Millionaire? What if Meredith really likes hosting the show? To me, she's been an enjoyable host (Plus, I'm actually kind of related to her, so there you go).
- I'm kinda going to miss the crazed dancing people winning $100,000. They were a lot of fun to watch, IMO.
- What would happen to the Cat Deeley deal? I saw her in a video interview and I would have loved to see her in the host chair.
Other than that, I think this should be a great idea. I'd sure love to see the show back to the way it was.

There is only one way for ABC/The Mouse to generate the buzz of the original game--the phone game, where for a brief time EVERYONE in America had a shot to be on a game show.
Anything else is a waste of their time...it won't generate the ratings/buzz they want.

ABC is seriously considering bringing back one of the biggest franchises in modern TV history—and it’s about time.

Well, I made the first reply to this thread, for the sake of ontopicosity, but you'll notice that I haven't carried on with the fantasy. Frankly, I have no confidence that TPTB (the real TPTB, not just beast's MM) will do the right thing.

Hope springs eternal for me. Add in the coincidence that the day this thread started, I had been going through some old files and came across the worksheet for my successful phone game qualification for SuperBAM. Somehow, I just can't manage to get rid of it.
Now where's the computer file for the worksheet template?
