Highest Percentages Into Cooperstown

I am sure that a few may have looked into this list, based on Rickey's numbers, but can you name the ten highest vote percentages for Baseball HOF inductees, from #1 through #10?

I'm thinking #1 is still Tom Seaver.....

Assuming I'm not confusing him with Steve Carlton....

The voting percentages are garbage anyway because each year is different. Players don't suddenly become more or less worthy, yet you see players with swings of 50 percentage points or more during their life on teh ballot....

I have to leave to drive home in the blowing & drifitng snow, so here is the list:

1. Tom Seaver
2. Nolan Ryan
3. Cal Ripken, Jr.
4. Ty Cobb
5. George Brett
6. Hank Aaron
7. Tony Gwynn
8. Mike3 Schmidt
9. Johnny Bench
10. Steve Carlton

Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner are tied at #11 and Rickey Henderson is the new #13 (beating out Willie Mays).

So, yes, vote percentages do not mean very much.

Ryan and Brett were part of the class of 1999, and Ripken and Gwynn were part of the class of 2007.

One other interesting note: Tom Seaver's vote total would have been even higher, but some voters returned blank ballots to protest the removal of Pete Rose from consideration.
