Yes, but now it has drug several others into the mix, because you were far from the only one to answer Camp Grenada....

Just wait until Pea asks you to bite her....

Again I am no expert, but I am old enough to have grown up for this song. But I honestly never knew the real name of this song. So I must never listen to the back announcing or to Dr. Demento.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

littlebeast13 wrote:But when I wrote that rule, I was referring more to what I just brought up.... that adding or subtracting words from the title itself would not count against you so long as you had the right part as the title. Basically, they are pulling the title from the wrong part of the song...

To me, this is like when one of our deejays one time complained that half of the people who were requesting "Total Eclipse of the Heart" were asking them to play that song "Turn Around". While I am generally not strict, I am of the opinion that knowing the title of a song is simply a part of the game. I can be forgiving if you have the basics of the title in too many or too few words, but if you're just quoting the wrong part as the title, I don't think that should count. I am assuming that everyone who answered "Camp Grenada" assumed that was the song's title and not actually "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah", or even the parenthetical (A Letter From Camp)....

Bonnie Tyler, bleah..... I like my example better. I think this should henceforth be known as the Supertramp Rule!

My problem is that I hear songs all the time without ever bothering to know what the title is in the first place. And if I never happen to hear it, and it isn't obvious, I never learn it....

Mini seems to be really good at hearing songs in her head but not being able to pull them through to the chorus beacuse she can usually come up with a pretty accurate description of the song for not being able to identify it. And she had a bad case of Old Timers on this game, because I'd swear she missed 3 or 4 she got right the first time it was posted....

lb13
Having Erin kicked my ass. I'm tired more and I've put on weight.

Or it's because I'm old.

I like blaming Erin, since that's free! Or I'll blame the fact you have such strict deadlines I can't print out the lyrics and wander around trying to sing them all day because the game is closed by the time I come back to answer. That's the ticket! It's All Beast's Fault!

:P :P :P :P :P :P

And I just felt like calling Fanny punk-ass because it was funny when pea did it to TLITF.....

Go ahead and blame me.... the game was only open 24 hours 4 years ago too! :P

Maybe you should print them out and sing them to Erin. Get her hooked on the classics early and off that Nickelodeon and Princess crapola.... :P :P :P

lb13
She'll rival her mom in LS futility with her "The ipsy-ipsy spy-er climbed up the what the heck" someday. Nowadays she "sings" the stuff her brothers listen to, mostly hard rock/heavy metal from Guitar Hero, but some classic rock thrown in.

But her DVDs and TV shows are maddeningly repetetive earworms!

It's my further HO that you asked for opinions, got 'em, and you're now stuck with the answer. Opinions are now running 8 to 1 for awarding the points. Disregarding a clear consensus after asking for it would be disingenuous.

Come to think of it, you can ignore whatsisname, he doesn't care anyway. Make it 8-0.

Or Erin will scream.
