A difficult puzzle

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Sat Jan 10, 2009 9:35 pm

A little while ago, I discovered a site that offers logic puzzles of the type, such as Masyu and Fences (known there as Slitherlink), that might be found on the U.S. Puzzle Championship. Many of the puzzles are available only to paying members, and I'm cheap, but there are also a variety of puzzles available to "guests."

I'm working on one of those now. It's a Cross Sum (known there as Kakuro), offered as the 50th Puzzle Championship, rated as Extra Hard. They're not kidding. I've been working on it for more than three hours, and I've filled in maybe 10% of the puzzle. The amazing thing is that someone managed to solve this puzzle in 20:09. The good puzzlers are really, really good. --Bob

Oh, sure. Make it obvious -- and make me look foolish in the process! :?
