I'll probably just stay with him all day tomorrow, but today I have to leave it to his teacher since it's during regular school hours. My fingers aren't uncrossing until 5:30 today.
Then I get to go to dinner with my m-i-l at 6! Oh, joy!

I'll officially be getting out of my routine at about 2:00 today when I don't take my usual Friday afternoon nap. Then I'll be out of sync and never know what day it is until I go back to work next Friday night, assuming I know when that is....
Have fun at the m-i-l's. My mom bowls on Friday nights on a team with a bunch of other relatives, so I'll probably be out there since I never get to see her make an ass out of herself. It's worth it just for the Pepsi and huge bucket o' popcorn.....

We're going to a restaurant, because I'm not hosting this time. So. There.

"Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda," by Alan Sherman. I don't know what BB is named in the lyrics, unless I've missed some campy dude who calls himself Granada.

"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," by the Beatles. Clearly, the song is about Cindy Wellman, whom I prefer to call Looooooooocinda.

There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Sloop John B - Beach Boys - John (The one Beach Boys song that I totally, irrationally, loathe. This doesn't violate the Fanny Rule because there was a John (9826?) and you didn't say anything about it not being in the title, just not in the lyrics used.)
I guess you missed this part :)

However, the title of a song is also part of its lyrics (With obvious exceptions where the title is not mentioned in the song). I had meant to include the stipulation that you could not use words in the titles themselves, but forgot (That's what I get for not writing up the intros in advance like I do the games themselves). Thus, I have been counting "John" as a correct response for the hidden BB in "Sloop John B", even though I was obviously shooting for Corn....

Not really :D
It is in the lyrics (over and over again, I hate this song!), it just happens to be in the title as well.

Corn is in that song? Really? I must black out before it gets to that part. Ha!

littlebeast13 wrote:For this year's first installment of Free For All Friday, we're gonna play a little Bored Buddy hide and seek! There have been LS games before that used titles and artists with BB handles, but this one will operate just a little differently. Each of the following 15 songs has the Bored name of at least one BB hidden somewhere in its lyrics (Obviously, not the set that I have chosen to post!). For each song in which you find a hidden BB, you will get a bonus point, making the non-JJC max score for this game 45 points!
A few ground rules for this game:
You may only use a certain BB once. This will prevent any BB's with names that show up a lot from being used multiple times.
You may only use the BB's well-known Bored handle, or commonly used nickname (None of those pet names that only a few people use, not that I'm singling anyone out here like, oh, Fanny). Numbers in a handle obviously are to be ignored.
Only BB's who are currently in the expanded rankings edition (250+ posts) may be used. This will keep anyone from invoking names of BB's nobody remembers.
You may, and are in fact encouraged to use my most recent expanded rankings list while playing this game. You will find it here:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13265
I will accept any nicknames I use in the rankings since I only use common ones....
Happy searching! This game closes sometime after 7 AM CST on Monday morning.....
1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, and 1 point for each song in which you find the hidden BB....
