Or more accurately John.

Appears Smoltz is headed to the Beaneaters to try for one more season after the Sorryassbraves tried to give him a low ball offer.

Very sad. Not surprising perhaps but sad none the less for Sorryassbraves fans. But this is what it has come to here as the Sorryassbraves continue their strong move back to the mediocrity that the franchise was known for before 1991.

At least it isn't the Hatedmets. Still not sure I am able to forgive little Tommy Glavine.

Sad. A couple of years ago I envisioned two Braves playing their careers all in Atlanta, and earning HoF membership, Smoltz and ..... Andruw Jones.

Apparently the deal is not yet officially "official". But can't imagine he would stay now with Boston essentially offering double the money the Sorryassbraves were. Even if the Sorryassbraves were to try to match it I am not sure I would stay if I were him.

Then again Boston is offering a ton of money for a 41 yo pitcher who just essentially had most of his pitching arm and shoulder reconstructed. Again.

Seems a bit of a gamble.
