2009 is a big year for BAM fans!

#1 Post by Kazoo65 » Tue Dec 30, 2008 7:50 pm

As we all know (or should know) August of 2009 marks the 10th anniversary of BAM in the USA.

I think ABC should do the following to celebrate:

1. have a special showing updates on all the big winners-I'd like to find out what some of them are doing now.

2. follow that special with 2 weeks of BAM-either classic PTBAM or SuperBAM-with the PHONE GAME.

Come on ABC! This would be way better than "Wipeout", which I heard is coming back this summer.
I'm just a game show nerd.

Rober Iger's career was nearly ruined by WWTBAM.

Robert Iger now runs Disney, and therefore ABC.

Now...put two and two together, Kazoo.

Or they could invite back contestants who gambled big and lost by missing 500K and 250K questions and give us... I mean them... another shot.

Lets bring back all those contestants that gambled on a middle tier question and blew it. Make them give back their $1000 and try again!

Now there's an idea! Except for giving back the $1,000.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

In the spirit of our new Presidential administration, we should have a patriotic themed show and bring back anyone who missed a question dealing with the American flag.

So far, I agree the most with Jarnon's suggestion the most out of all these good ones. Maybe they could incorporate the flag idea from SSS to include any fastest finger contestants who had slow fingers to include any of them who wore sweaters featuring the American Flag. That would be a pretty small club but it would includeThe Baboo.

Or they could just start at A and make their way alphabetically through the census list. By state, city and name, of course, to be orderly about it.

Using that method, it shouldn't be too long before they get to the Hs in Auburn, Alabama.

ABC no longer has the rights to WWTBAM. It's still taped in ABC's studio but ABC is paid rent for that. Ever notice how many non-ABC stations carry syndie-BAM?

I am a BAD, BAD person. I did not realize that it was the 10th anniversary of the show. Even though it was responsible for the genesis of this and the preceding iterations of the board, the game has not caused me to be diligent in remembering these dates.

There have been other items preempting my observance of said 10th anniversary.

Happily, this board has morphed beyond the strict definition of a "game show board".
Well, then
