I got really close to it. But then I read reviews. Plus, I don't like ordering stuff like that because they always end up signing you up for a bunch of other stuff and putting you into some "club".kayrharris wrote:Since I'm now watching that damn Snuggie commercial!!....

Like with Miracle Putty, once it shows up at BB&B, I'll forget for what purpose it was that I absolutely HAD to have it.

It appears that you have not seen the "on the street" demonstrations of the Sham-Wow, where the salesmen look exactly like "Vince", including the headset for the sound system.kayrharris wrote:And what's up with that stupid headset he wears?
They had such a booth along the "Riverwalk" area in Branson this summer, when we were attending my daughter's national dance competition. Several dance mothers bought the product, and I have not heard of any complaints. (But, I also have not asked.)
My wife was very close to buying a full set. At the time, I laughed at the spectacle of buying a "miracle product" from a street vendor. Imagine my surprise to see a commercial a few months later that was identical to the street sales pitch.

Kay, I had never even heard of a Snuggie until you posted about it last week, and now all I see are Snuggie commercials.kayrharris wrote:Since I'm now watching that damn Snuggie commercial!!....

Mr Cable-Co Ad Screamer (I'm sure he has a name, but I'm fine with that one) is currently pitching toilet-bowl scrubber on a station in the other room. I'd like to see someone be giving a street demo of that.
One of the advantages of not having cable (eek, the other thread! run, some of you! hide!) is that I don't have to hear this guy in the day or evening. He might just be on at night, on broadcast network stations, but I'm generally asleep.
Also, the inside of a less-than-perfectly-scrubbed toilet bowl
(the "before" state in the ad) most decidely does not look any better in High Def than it would in analog, or perhaps real life; I have just seen it, & I am the judge.

Ooh, ooh, I spoke too soon. He was on during the network nightly news in My Home Town. A local & not network-mandated commercial, I hope, but I guess then they really can't sell time around here. His name is Bill May, or Mays; he now gets a credit. He wasn't doing the toilet-scrubber during the news, though. That fabric-mend-it stuff, but they weren't showing the truck-hauling version of the commercial, but rather the "we fixed this guy's parachute with it & he trusts it" version.

Billy Mays visits the bored quite often. We may even see an appearance tonight.
You just never know. I actually saw him on TV pushing ESPN 360 on your computer. I can't stand
his yelling, so I usually change it or hit mute as quickly as possible.

Check out reviews on them. I generally read eopinions, but I ended up with whatever I got for "shamwow reviews" and they are one of those quasi- bait and switch type things where, once they have your credit card number, you ended up with (what they feel is) $600 worth of Shamwows, which are apparently just a big piece of felt.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Emma wants me to, but I haven't.kayrharris wrote:Since I'm now watching that damn Snuggie commercial!!....

After seeing the ad again about 15 minutes ago, I am perilously close to the feeling that the Big City Slider Station simply must be mine (and I don't even make hamburgers on the regular), Mine MINE!!!!1
After all, Billy wouldn't cheat me, would he?
