Final Pigskin Pool Standings

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Mon Dec 29, 2008 7:18 am

Congrats to MACRAE for coming away with the 2008 BB football pool title. He had a 3 game lead over me going into the final week, and though I managed to go 13-3 yesterday, he was able to match me. The Peahen fell anothe rgame back, but managed to secure 3rd place. Ace and TBone round out the Top 5, both finishing 8 games back......

Goodness - you didn't win.

I thought I heard that you were gonna win.

Didn't I hear that somewhere?

I am blaming Denver.

I would blame Sprots in turn, but then ES would never speak to me again.....

Since I didn't win any money, I'm not blaming Rexer....

So, I am not nuts.

I did hear somewhere that you were gonna win.

I guess that whoever said that was wrong.

Oh, do you suspect I was implying that it was you?

How could you ever be wrong?

Ya'll are confusing it with the time I said I was pulling for LB to win.

Thanks folks it was fun.
I believe there were over 350,000 people who participated in various groups in the ESPN pool and I was number 1521

Congrats and well done everyone. It was fun participating and having an interest in all the games. My final placement allows me to no longer kick myself for my memory lapse in failing to make a pick for the Thursday Colts game.

I ended the season in fitting fashion by once again selecting the Chargers the wrong way.

There's no pool for this, but I'll take a shot:

Falcons over Cardinals (It took a lot of weeks, but the Falcons have me convinced.)
Eagles over Vikings (I would love to be wrong here, but I don't trust QB Jackson.)
Colts over Chargers (Get your bets in now on the Chargers)
Dolphins over Ravens (I have to pick one home team.)

Good job, Mac -- congratulations!

SteelersFan also enters pools and contests to add some interest in the games.

I was going for a perfect record like the Lions (the Detroit variety not the Nittany type). I managed to get none right. Of course I got none wrong as well.
