I'm back in the office for two days, not expecting much to happen because most everyone else is gone. It's amazing how many e-mail messages I received during my absence and how many of them were totally unneeded (not spam, per se, but stuff that gets sent out to "all employees" and such). I guess that's a good thing, since it means I don't have any burning issues to deal with.
Christmas in Rivendell was wonderful - our grandson was old enough to grasp some of the concepts of the season (opening packages). I received some very nice gifts, including a limited edition set of Star Trek PEZ dispensers and a copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
Now it's on to a new year.

I expect he'll bring me a Harry Potter calendar after he has a chance to swing by the mall.
