Zap's First Christmas With Us
Like the girls, he celebrates both holidays. Yesterday he received a new dreidel squeak toy to play with.
When Zap came downstairs this morning, there was a new cranberry velvet blanket on "his" part of the couch, the blanket has lambswool on the reverse. (Santa picked it up at Linen's and Things Closing sale.) He also noticed a stocking full of new dog toys.
(The cats received presents as well, but they chewed through the bag and played with them in the middle of the night because the toys had catnip on them.)
Zap was patient while I threw together my traditional Christmas breakfast casserole and we went on an extra long walk. Since it's cold and rainy here, Zap wore both his jacket and a matching dickey to keep his neck warm. (Emma found the dickey in our ski stuff and pulled it out for Zap to wear.)
When we came home, we woke up the girls and opened gifts. Zap excitedly played with his news toys, then settled down on his new blanket surrounded by new toys. He looked very happy, but was exhausted.

I love this story -- it makes me smile. Zap has certainly landed in his own personal happy place! Happy Holidays to the PSClan.

Did he convert, or was he born Jewish? And if the former, what did he say when you explained to him the necessity of circumcision?PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Like the girls, he celebrates both holidays.

Oh, that must be the dickey part of the story.

At some point I will post pictures.
We are having a party for between 20 and 50 teenagers in three hours. I am a bit preoccupied...
