top o' the mornin'®

#1 Post by earendel » Mon Dec 22, 2008 9:38 am

It's COLD here in the River City - overnight temperatures hit the single digits in the 'burbs and the high is only supposed to reach 20. I'm home this week using up more annual leave. Unfortunately the family room, where the computer is located, was constructed separately from the rest of the house and isn't part of the heating system. We use a space heater to keep the area liveable but it doesn't do much against the kind of cold that we are experiencing. So I'm dressed very warmly.

Tonight our family gets its first Christmas gift - our second son has purchased tickets for us to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra tonight. They're performing in Indianapolis, so we'll be leaving here in time to make the drive and grab a bite to eat. The drive is about 90 minutes.

We're already up to 29 here! We should break freezing by midday........

Sorry, but I don't take pictures. You'll have to use your imagination....

Come on, let ES draw your portrait in your Snuggie. It'd be a top seller!
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

OMG, what an annoying commercial. (I guess that's redundant.)

My wife, who's name is Kay, said to me: isn't that just a bathrobe on backwards? :D

Have a safe drive and enjoy the TSO concert. That's next year's holiday music for us. This year was Mannheim Steamroller. Last year was Jim Brickman.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Good grief, Rexer! Don't encourage him! Unless you like paying yourself $10 . . .

Actually if you just tape it over your windows and shrink it, it will do wonders for your heat saving.
