I'm on "Million $$ Password" tonight @ 8 ET on CBS

#1 Post by chad1m » Sun Dec 21, 2008 12:34 pm

So, time for my final pimpage of this, I promise: I, as you probably know, am going to be on "Million Dollar Password" tonight at 8 PM on CBS. There will be a late NFL game that MAY delay the airing of the program by up to 30 minutes in the Eastern time zone. Because of this, 60 Minutes will run into the timeslot "Million Dollar Password" takes up. So if you tune into CBS at 8 and see "60 Minutes", DO NOT FLIP. (lol) "Password" will start as soon as "60 Minutes" is over.

One other note is that I'll be in the second game played tonight.

Thanks everyone!

Remember to add half an hour or so of extra time in case the game goes over, pushing the show as well. --Bob

Dang Chad, you were great! Better than I'd be, no doubt. I thought you were going to get that last one, but it just wasn't meant to be, I guess. Congratulations on your win and your performance.

Congrats! Your clues were most excellent and you were the best player of the night. Did you get to talk with Phil, Regis and Julie after the show? Did you have to wait for your check until after the show airs? How long did it take to tape the show?

It looked like you had a lot of fun.

Spoiler
You were such an awesome and charasmatic player!

You were robbed to not be able to play with Julie. The only reason you scored more answers with Phil was that you skunked the other player sooooo much! Was this discussed at all during the show or was there no choice?

One wonders how much money you would have won if you had gotten Julie as a partner. You could tell Phil was humbled by not being able to play up to your ability. Did he apologize at all about not being able to get your very excellent clues/

But regardless of that, your good nature and gamesmanship came through loud and clear.

Congratulations!

Hey Chad,

You played a great game. I am so sorry that you got stuck with Phil Koeghan. As soon as I saw him with you in the commercial, I was worried. $25,000 is nothing to sneeze about, you did fantastic!

We are proud of you!

I really enjoyed watching you!

You looked like you were having a ton of fun up there. Too bad Phil didn't play so well-at least he wasn't as bad as William Shatner was the other night.

All in all, an enjoyable show.

Congratulations, Chad!
Spoiler
I'm agreeing with everyone else here--Phil choked, you'd have been better off with Julie. You did as well as you could there. It must have taken incredible cool to stop as you did and use up some of that time you had on the clock, searching for the perfect word that would have Phil come up with the answer.
Interesting that both celebrities were reality show hosts, seeing what it was like on the other side.

I guess I don't know the rules and wasn't paying attention. I thought...

... you were given the choice of which celeb to play with. Is that not correct?

One question, for when you have time for a behind-the-scenes report:
Spoiler
When Regis was bantering with you and basically asked if you'd done this before, had TPTB instructed you to avoid mentioning your experience on Kids Jeopardy? That seemed like the perfect opening for that.

No, each contestant gets the opportunity to play with each of the celebrities. The contestant who performs the best, and goes on to play for up to one-million dollars is then paired with the celebrity whom they scored the highest---guessed the most words correctly.

You did most excellent!

You were charismatic and you and Phil made the show entertaining. Poor Phil. When you asked him about the 50K, he just seemed to be about to cry....He tried his best and you've got 25K!!! Holy Crap! I'm in college too and I can imagine what you can do w/ that money...Good Luck and don't spend it too quick... 8)

Gonna be cautious here, seeing the "west-coast blackout" on the board right now for those in the pacific time zone, so let's try this....
Spoiler
You did amazing considering the crappy circumstances you were up against. Phil choked.

Okay. I guess my next question is -- what if it's a tie between the two celebs?
