I just started getting something from Grouply.com, welcoming me to their community. It is a Facebook clone, and apparently has something to do with the GC and the Yahoo! groups. Did I miss a memo from Yahoo!, saying they were switching or otherwise signing us up to this website?
I see no point to it, myself. I'm happy enough with the present situation. It's just that the Grouply stuff says I'm signed up for daily e-mail alerts from them. I didn't plan to bother going to that site, but it looks like I have to in order to deactivate their nonsense.

I have received no such e-mail. I would ignore it if I did. I can delete a lot of spam faster than I can clear up a mess from a possible nefarious site that I don't know.

I've never heard of them, so I don't know if they're legit or not. But signing you up for daily e-mails you didn't request wastes any legitimacy points they might have.

I got the same message.
Grouply is legit, I have other friends who are on it. I've been on it as a part of those networks, but frankly really don't use it or know how to work it.
