We have a 4 ft fence (made w/ welded wire and t-posts) up around the land in the back of our house now. It is only there because the hedge we planted this past summer will end up growing around, over and through it to cover up its ugliness. Until then, blech. Its other purpose, besides being ugly, is to keep the dogs from running in to Idaho Falls to go to PetSmart ,or other fun places.

So, we have discovered that the blowing snow has created these big drifts right up to the fence so that even Princess and Gracie can now just hop on over the fence if they want to. Eric is taking out his 4-wheeler today to figure out a way to somehow thwart these plans. I think more snow is coming on Sunday and again on Christmas Eve.

BTW, if anyone wants to learn how to pound in t-posts and attach a fence, I'm your gal!

We are under a "Winter Storm Warning" until Monday and a "Wind Chill Advisory" until late tomorrow.

The snow, which the weatherman said wasn't supposed to start until after midnight, has already begun.

The windchill will feel like -20* tomorrow, because the wind will be gusting at around 40 mph, causing the snow to drift and close roads-a travel nightmare!

The Weather Channel says in its' long range forecast that it will be in the 40s the day after Christmas-I'll believe it when I see it!

Kazoo, where are you? Hey that rhymes! Michigan? Your weather sounds like ours here in Southern Ontario. It's snowing in Detroit now and headed our way.

12:45 PM EST-It snowed all night, and it is still snowing. The temperature at noon was 5 degrees above zero, with a windchill of -15. Brrrrr.

The TV station from Grand Rapids is showing nothing but weather bulletins. The weatherperson said that we are going to get more snow on Tuesday/Wednesday (another 4 to 10 inches) and that there is yet another system that will come next weekend (when everybody is trying to travel home after Christmas!) that will bring-you guessed it-MORE snow.

How many days before spring starts???

It has snowed a lot here. Snow that quickly turns to ice and hills are not a good combo.
