I'm done with Christmas

#1 Post by silvercamaro » Fri Dec 19, 2008 5:26 pm

I'm done with the annoying parts of Christmas, that is, having finally completed my shopping at the mall. I still have to make one more trip to the Post Office tomorrow (Priority Mail says "I care",) and wrapping and cooking remain, but that all counts on the fun side.

I not only found excellent and suitable presents at the mall, but I also accidently tripped over some tall, soft leather black boots at 40 percent off, and they just happened to have my choice of sizes in stock. By cashing in a gift card I'd had in my purse for nearly a year, the boots cost me a net $22, including tax. Furthermore, I preshopped the Ralph Lauren section for what I know will go on sale in January, confident that I will get more Dillard's gift cards next week.

All that, and Friday Night Gender Defender, too! It's a wonderful life.

Is this a hint?

Nope. My sister-in-law thinks I'm hard to buy things for. (Yes, this is the same sister-in-law for whom I find hard to buy presents.) She has given me some kind of small gift plus a gift card for the past umpty-two years. I may seem more enthusiastically grateful for the ones to a big store than the ones for massages and such. (Deep down inside, I am more enthusiastic.)
