Seems Crichton died whilst I was away in Africa. Didn't hear about that one and a bit of a surprise!

It is a huge pet peeve of mine when special year-end lists are compiled before the year is over......

Do me a favor and bump off some people I would actually recognize, will ya? "Notable" covered a lot of territory. I mean, YOU are notable at Church's and Ponderosa!

I need to clear out my cookies. On that page, I kept getting the Zales ad with the HK pendant, and something for Las Vegas. I felt like I was being stalked........

Now there's a good trick if you can pull it off!

Legendary record producer Jerry Wexler died of congenital heart disease on Aug. 15. He was 91.

Probably meant congestive heart failure but wouldn't congenital be possible? It just means that he was born with it.

Hmmm. I guess the "disease" part makes that unlikely. Died from a congenital heart condition or defect would make more sense even if unlikely that he would have lived to 91.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Certainly possible to have some type of congenital heart disease (that is a pretty non specific phrase) and survive to 91. Just could not have been particularly severe. Maybe mitral valve prolapse? Septal defect? Perhaps a dysrhythmia of some sort? Anyway, pretty lucky to make it 91 years!

Not that it'll ever come up again (in my lifetime anyway) -- I'm still mad about Elway's absence from the top 100 sports stars of the century and Simpson making it because they had it all ready before 1998!

Idiots.

No wonder there's a population crisis.

Only 107 people died in the whole year (up till now).

And it's really weird that they were all celebrities.
