Crap! MORE Neighbor Construction.

#1 Post by secondchance » Thu Dec 11, 2008 4:50 pm

The new neighbors to my left are juuussst about finished with their house rehab and the addition of a guest house. The jackhammer and constant pounding was soon to be a distant memory...

Until this morning. When the neighbor to my right broke ground on their new guest house.

And this is the start of the rainy season. Which means construction will likely last on and off till summer. Yeah. It does rain in southern California.

I may need to pull my hair out.

One by one.

On second thought, large handfuls may be more cathartic.

May I scream now?

Thank you.

The house in my avatar is (was) next door to mine. I had hoped that it would be repaired, but for the past two weeks, a crew with a Bobcat has been slowly tearing it down and hauling it away. I hear that work on a big new house is imminent. So I feel your pain.

I've talked to the Bobcat owner several times. His name is Fidel. Seems like a nice guy. I got him to do a little work on my yard as long as he was here anyway. He's also busy building a house for his parents in San Luis Potosi, but I can send you his contact info and maybe you can work out a deal.

Yeah, nice try. We know your buddy just wants to bury his nuts.

Thanks, 'fessor.

...So that's what the photo is. I've wondered about it on occasion.

And good luck on your end! I suggest you invest in some good earplugs and a white noise machine.

And some sort of sedative. :P

I didn't know possums could be so industrious.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

As are the qualities of squirrels and bobcats industrious, those of the effin possum must never be underestimated...

Thankfully, they gave up after about one week. The weather got too cold for them....

Or maybe THEY got laid off too.....
