I was one of the New Orleans auditioners, as was Steve Perry.

Those were people still floating in the pool in 2002.....

At least this helps answer the mystery of why I never got chosen despite multiple auditions - even here the best I can do to be memorable is to be an aquaintence circling Uranus. :(

Yep.

I met beast and BiT before I was a Bored denizen.

Spoke quite a bit with BiT that morning.

I made it to the audition with 4 minutes to spare.

I wouldn't say we really met. I remember you from the audition, and I'm sure you saw me.

BiT didn't even make contact with me until just a couple minutes before they started doing the interviews. He was in the first group taken back. I was in the very last.....

lb13
I walked up to BiT when he was talking to you. I had sat near him during the test. I'm pretty sure we at least exchanged "hellos"

Gene McKenna wasn't selected out of that audition, he was an example of BB and "real fan" frustration. His brother, a Roman Catholic priest, decided to 'tag along' just to support him, not really that interested in playing. Guess which McKenna was chosen to play. I remember hearing that some said "Wow why didn't I think of that" seeing the uniform, then finding out Colin McKenna was actually a priest.

I also passed the test in New Orleans and was not chosen.

It's possible, though BiT was whisked away shortly after he found me.

The BB (Who had also not yet become a BB) I remember best from that audition was ImWaiting. He was the almost 50-something guy wearing the Drake shirt who sat a few seats down from me during the test. He was also among the last groups called back, and he was quite vocal.....

It got quite lonely when it was just down to me, Jason Key (Who also bombed in the RoF, but re-emerged on SyndieBAM a few years later), and Dating Game guy.... with only Sonny to keep us company.....

It's been a while, but I believe ImWaiting and I were in the same group of 5 (or was it 4?).

5.

When it got down to 7 of us, they split us up into a group of 4 and 3. Maybe being in the smaller group of 3 helped since 2 of us made it.....

I ended up being one of his PAFs (I was not called) but I remember that he was not interested in practicing nor discussing strategy. I think he made it to at least 1k.

I'm sorry, what was your cut again?

I figure that escapade set me back about $500 in income tax refunds for the years 2000 and 2001, so if you take a third of my overall winnings, I figure you owe me about $167. I will accept a personal check....
