Things I don't like about being a boss

#1 Post by BackInTex » Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:39 pm

The news I will have to give to half my employees (2 of 4) next Monday morning.

We build oil pipelines. Oil has gone from over $140 to just over $40.

Not too hard to figure out what the news is.

We have our company holiday party Saturday night. It will be tough to be festive.

:(

I'm O.K.....for now. At least that is what they are letting me think. They are allowing me to spend $thousands bringing in consultants next week for a project I'm managing.

No, the people who work for me now can not do what the consultants are doing. They are actually employees of a company we are purchasing software for and they are consulting on the implementation.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

I hope they're not saving any news for you until after you do their dirty work on Monday. :(
