Since I'm here, I might as well grab the first reply. After all, with italics in front of me, I'm motivated to keep climbing. --Bob

Okay, I'll ask
How can we have a green without a red?

christie and mrkelley must have been tied at #34 last week; now Mikey has fallen behind while christie stayed in the same place.peacock2121 wrote:Okay, I'll ask

I've got to get more chatty - I have a feeling that lb's gonna catch me soon. The problem is that I'm not one for chit-chat. I guess I could have gone in for the political discussions and padded my post count that way but I refrained.

Beast didn't use to post like this (under his own screen name instead of his many MM, anyway) until he got into this rivalry with Kay. I know the chattiness doesn't come naturally, but starting a rivalry helps.earendel wrote:I've got to get more chatty - I have a feeling that lb's gonna catch me soon. Why do you have to bring race into it?MarleysGh0st wrote:Beast didn't use to post like this (under his own screen name instead of his many MM, anyway) until he got into this rivalry with Kay. If I were to get involved in some sort of posting competition it would be an amazing race.TheCalvinator24 wrote:Why do you have to bring race into it?MarleysGh0st wrote:Beast didn't use to post like this (under his own screen name instead of his many MM, anyway) until he got into this rivalry with Kay. Actually, I did used to post like this, though that was back in the day when just about everyone used to post like this.....

I need to post more as well, since there are a bunch of active players just above me. My desire for quality over quantity, though, tends to slow me down. What can I do? Quality is my career.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Re: This weeks rankings- Infinite birthday wishes edition
So, lb, if I pick my posting rate up to somewhere around Fanny's or Kay's, do I have a shot to pass MACRAE in my lifetime?
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!
That'll be $10, please.

5 years ago, etaoin was once stuck at #32 for a whole year..... and this was back before there were very large gaps of separation between spots.....

There's a big difference between bring stuck at #3 and being stuck at #32 where all the moving and shaking usually happens.....

It's easily enough overcome with a lot of practice.gsabc wrote:I need to post more as well, since there are a bunch of active players just above me. My desire for quality over quantity, though, tends to slow me down. What can I do? Quality is my career.
OK, a lot of practice.
I started off offtopicosity -- it was a discussion with Smokey about the Final Four.
I knew I had arrived at the right place.

Thanks as always for doing this, LB.

An infinite theme brings infinite difficulties. This image came from a page where search terms "little beast," "birthday," and "movies" are all featured at some point, not necessarily with relevance to each other.
Happy birthday once again to our birthdayers and thanks again to LB for doing this. We'll give this cake to Kay and see what else we can find for the other two.

. . . an uneatable little beast whose name is formed of three letters; take away the first of them, and you obtain a big eatable one (a pig).
Dioscorides applies the term paidokorax, boy-raven, to a shameless youth . . .
The cat, ailouros, hardly appears at all--a good deal of the mouse-catching in ancient households being done by tame ferrets or weasels as late, at least, as the days of Petronius . . .
