I greeted Mini on her return from Thanksgiving. Rain Man took such good care of me, I never escaped even though my cage had two gaping holes in it. He was a great Mouse Dad, and he made me the nicest headstone with mouse cartoons on it. But mom says no more rodents.

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

We will be there 1/24-28, but don't tell the kids. We plan on surprising them on 1/23.minimetoo26 wrote:EVERYONE should go back to WDW! And walk a gajillion miles a day! It's good for your health and the economy!
Possibility of a late-January visit. It's only 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Tampa, if necessary............

Believe me, I'd have a reptile myself if I thought I could get my m-i-l to take care of it. But maybe that would keep her out of my house altogether! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Tampa's out. Everything's booked already. If the Jets or Giants make it, then Mini-me and dad take the drive from Orlando to Tampa for the game. If not, then just a weekend with The Mouse since we already have passes and the kids are out of school that Friday anyway. Most likely the whole crew will go unless Stephen can't miss Friday and Monday since he's not in the public schools. If the Jets make it, we have to get a ticket for one of the Knuckleheads in Steve's crew since he's like family and the biggest Jets fan ever, but he's an OT in the public school system so his budget doesn't run to SB tickets.
A lot of the details are still up in the air, obviously......

The past year, the market's been off, what- 40%?
I'm only down 18% in that time.

I have stopped opening my statements.
We do have our quarterly meeting in a few weeks, so I will have to take my head out of my butt for an hour or so then.

If you had all Walmart* stock, you'd not have lost anything.littlebeast13 wrote:I got my 401K statement yesterday. I only lost $1600 since May....
I guess I'll just have to give up that plan to retire at 35.....

Out 401K's aren't all WMT stock. The profit sharing and obviously the stock purchase plan is though.....
And it's still a few bucks below where it was when I got in the stock program in April 1999..... it would be nice if all those years of "buying low" will eventually pay off....

Not true - the trust fund that my mother set up for me is heavily invested in Walmart* stock and it's down. Granted it's not down as much as some stocks, but down nevertheless.Bob Juch wrote:If you had all Walmart* stock, you'd not have lost anything.littlebeast13 wrote:I got my 401K statement yesterday. I guess it depends on when it was purchased. It's been about the same price for the last ten yerars.earendel wrote:Not true - the trust fund that my mother set up for me is heavily invested in Walmart* stock and it's down.
