That's a pic of my 39th Birthday present to myself.

I was wondering about that, of course! I wasn't sure if the proposed/non-proposed Otto thingy would filter out possible risque skin violations.

LOL!!

I do like the tattoo. How large is it?

The cross is about 2.5 inches across and 3 inches tall. The banner makes the whole thing look pretty big

What are you saying?

Do you have a prejudice against tattoos?

I do.

But I"m glad you make the distinction between a dislike for tattoos, and a dislike for people with tattoos.

Considering my love for all things Heinlein, I am still somewhat surprised by my knee-jerk negative response to tattoos, but I do have them, and I won't try to lie about it.

Yours is very attractive and meaningful, as tattoos go.

I will admit that the picture, which doesn't provide any background context, looks like the tattoo is on a .... different part of the body. The fact that the last word in it so closely resembles "tuchus" isn't helping, either. Are you sure your Celtic source doesn't have a bizarre sense of humor?

I guess that could be the side of my hip, but there's much more hair there.

I think that comes under the rubric of TMI.

I have a prejudice against sitting still while someone jabs a seemingly endless series of needles into my body!

It didn't hurt that much.

Much less than I thought it would.

Jeff's sister got a tattoo of the caterpillar from Alice and Wonderland smoking a hookah on her stomach. It's not a small tattoo.

The first words out of her mother's mouth when she saw that tattoo were, "Do you realize what that will look like after you have your first baby?"
