When I was a clarinetist, I used his brand of reeds, which were the ones you graduated to after cutting your teeth (literally!) on those flimsy Rico kind. I always thought "Mitchell Lurie" was just a made-up name connoting quasi-snobbery and faux-elegance. Turns out, that was hardly the case!
