Digital camera deal - looking for opinions.

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Wed Nov 26, 2008 10:05 pm

Mecca has a door buster deal:

Kodak R-thingie ZD8612 Big Zoom BMP Digital Camera
- 12x optical zoom
- 2.5" outdoor LCD screen
- HD stills and high ISO up to 3.200

$149, while supplies last.

Deal or no deal?

That is a special model made only for Walmart*. Did they cut out some features or use cheaper components than the regular Z8612? I don't know, but I'd buy this instead because it has image stabilization:

Thanks, Bob, and thanks for the link!

I checked it out, and if I can figure out how to get the shipping fee waived, that's probably the way I'll go. Same price, and as you point out, an additional feature.
