There was an episode of the old Night Gallery TV show about this....

Laurence Harvey had the hots for this married woman and hired someone to literally put a bug in the husband's ear that would burrow its way clear through the head. Somehow the bug wound up in his ear instead and somehow he managed to survive having the bug tunnel its way though. Unfortunately, at the end of the episode, his doctor told him that the bug was a female and had laid its eggs while tunneling through his brain.
