Where's George

#1 Post by christie1111 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 7:56 pm

I thought I had posted this, but it doesn't seem to be here.....

I got an anonymous email from Joe aka MrNiceguy about a bill I reported.

Do you people who do WG ever email the people who report your bills?

There are some who do. I don't.

I kinda like getting them sometimes, though the ones that come from the people who hit your bills are usually more fun to read.... especially when they're blank (Yes, blank anonymous emails are common, don't ask me why)....

It had a really nice WG notice on the bill.

Not so much stamped as it looked printed.

Some people use their printers to "stamp" their bills.

I'm not that technologically advanced to do that...

All of mine are hand-lettered. If you get a bill marked in bright red, or bright purple fine line Sharpie . . . that just might be from me!

I have always hoped that one day a BB would find one of my bills, but I had no idea it was possible I could find another BB's bill. I'll be on the lookout for those.....

I think the Where's George people must be slacking off. I had six shifts (2.5 hours each) of cashiering at the Friends of the Library booksale last month, during which I handled lots of cash, but I didn't spot even one WG-tagged bill!
