That occurred to me when she said that. I'd had the edition title in my mind since Tuesday morning....

Of course, I hardly ever watched the Brady Bunch either since it was never on Nick at Nite in my youth, and don't ever remember actually seeing a "Marcia Marcia Marcia" moment. I had never heard the catchphrase until the Brady Bunch movie came out in the mid 90's....

Okay, about to show my Brady dorkiness....

It was the episode where Jan doesn't make the pom pon squad and has a little fit looking at the shelf in their room with all of Marcia's award and ribbons and whatnot (as I recall Marcia had even helped her with cheers). The she starts bitching about how Marcia gets picked for everything and wins this and that and is always the teacher's favourite and she's tired of always hearing "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!".

Then she writes an essay and she gets the highest combined score so she gets to accept an award and read it at the assembly. She checks the math and finds out the teacher made a mistake and has a crisis of conscience. Of course, she ends up pointing out the mistake (but not until she gets on the stage) and ends up getting an honesty award or somesuch.
Dork.

After seeing this, I was going to ask about how Meisha is pronounced, but never got around to it.

I've always said MEE-sha, but I thought it might be MAY-sha (like in geisha) or MY-sha. Never thought about MY-EEE-SHA because I always associate that sound with an AI.

But when Fanny had a moment of reason and went with the black cat for a few weeks, you became the only HK avatar ho left on the Bored for a while, so I was still associating all HK avatars with you without looking at the name.....

Hey, I said it was only for Halloween! It just lasted longer than that because I was too lazy to change it back right away. It seems that whenever I thought about it I was on the laptop and my jpgs are on the desktop.

I want an interface where only the HK avatars are on the right side.

Preferrably about 20 feet off of the edge of the monitor..... :P

I did get the Brady reference! My younger sisters used to say that to me all the time. They were just jealous. And no, I didn't really watch the show but I did watch the two movies that have come out in the past 10 years or so. :)

Okay. Us old fogies would tell you that it's not the same if you didn't see it broadcast in primetime on ABC's terrific Friday night line-up. The Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family--those were the days! :)

And while we're on the subject to pronounce "Meisha", does that nickname come from your job at the sushi place?

Us really old fogies were too old to be interested in either show.

You're shortchanging Room 222 and the Odd Couple - I think I liked them more than the Partridge family- I think Love American Style was after them.
