Want to work for Obama?

If so, be prepared to answer a whole lot of personal questions:

I think the request to provide copies of all post on blogs or websites would pretty much eliminate everybody here from any position in the Obama administration.

I don't believe for a minute that anyone actually will read the applications, each of which easily could reach several thousand pages. Hiring is more likely to follow the traditional Chicago politician style with a single question: "Who do you know?"

Hahaha but they will probably still make some intern read them, and summarize them, and then base the hiring just on that question and not use any of the information that the intern worked 20 hours a day to prepare!

Some of us would melt down several printers and kill off a large number of trees printing out all our posts. Not to mention the ginormous cost of postage to send them. Do they accept electronic submissions, as does the FDA?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

The 'blog' question also asks you to list all aliases that you have ever used on the internet. A couple people on this Bored would probably use up a forest just to list their Merry Men....

I wonder if Uly would have to list all his avatars, also...

I already do work for Obama (or will, come January.) Same as I work for Dubya now, & Clinton, & Bush I, & going back to Ronnie Reagan -- and would have worked for McCain had the election gone differently. Didn't work for Carter; I started w/ the SSA in mid-81 & transferred to the VA about a year later.

Same here. We have photos of the president and vice-president in the lobby of our building; presumably they'll be changed on January 20.

I can't believe no one has pointed out the irony that the documentation required of prospective employees goes way beyond documentation that the President-Elect refused to provide about himself.

Don't be too hard on him. He has self esteem issues. Even he would not even hire himself. He is still in shock that he was elected senator. He's like the fat kid that got convinced to run for cheerleader and won, standing out on the football field looking around, scared, and thinking "Now what?".

It's been really freaking hard.
