Obviously this person had serious issues but it does point out the fine line between "brutally honest" and "ridicule" that the judges dance on in their critiques, and the potential fallout when someone's (unrealistic) dreams are trashed.

Just a thought -- I wonder if there's a chance of Syndie WWTBAM emulating AI by having special theme weeks where they just show the failed auditioners instead of asking trivia questions. It might explain why they started taping the auditions this year. It would save even more of the production cost by lowering the prize budget. But I guess TPTB would want to have Meredith at the auditions instead of the unknown APs.
