If I ever want to reach my goal of double-digit ranking, I'd better step up my game.

We need to persuade Dr. Canada to return for FNGD. That'll help my count!

Are these rankings cumulative among the various boards, and how far back do they go? I seem to remember being in the top 5 at one point (way back when jmcachran was number one)...

They are cumulative from the various incarnations of the Bored.

You were ranked 163rd in this rankings...

I hope not. In my own small OCD way, I'd probably start trying to stay exactly 1976 posts ahead of Marley, or something equally dumb. Or maybe 1111, since I was jeanluc1111 for a while.

I've only done that when a Bored has closed down... and the list only represented posts on that particular incarnation of the Bored.

Eyegor adopted the policy of not giving out the exact numbers to avoid overt jockeying for positions back when he had the rankings... and since I think it's a good idea, I have kept it in place.

But you do tell people when they're close to milestone posts, which is a nice touch.

Thanks LB for naming it after the Beebs! He's no longer Space Dog, you'll be happy to know (or maybe you won't, whatever) since his collar is put away and now he's just pace and fret dog.

Getting in a rankings edition ranks up there with getting a building or a park bench named after you....

I'm wondering if anybody's heard it. I'm also wonering if anybody can come up with a good one using the name of that man.

I think I'll see if the boys in marketing can come up with a contest or something about that.
