Just what DOES a man have to do before he's not "just another one of those", anyway?

Isn't it about time for the Dead Horse to come along and put an end to all of the politically-tinged posts for the next 3 years?

This goes beyond political into downright racist. I can tolerate political sniping.

I'm with mini on this one, but I would be tempted to talk about the PE's real aunt, which would give me a chance to slam the President and the PE.
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Re: Picture of the day
So, we now can't post funny pictures about our new ruler?
It seems to me that Bush was an endless target for the eight years he was in office. But the new guy is off limits? OK. I get it. And, no, I am not a racist. I just thought the picture was funny. As I thought most of the Bush pictures were funny. But it seems
we have some touchiness as his highness does not resemble the other folks on the dollar bills.
Fine. I will stick to my vanilla posts and Lyrically Speaking answers.

See, Obama is black, get it? And some of the people are dressed in Arab-style garb, too! And there's a whole pack of them!MarleysGh0st wrote:Please explain what's funny about the picture.Sir_Galahad wrote:I just thought the picture was funny.

Re: Picture of the day
That pic is really tacky. If Joe Lieberman got elected president you prolly wouldn't post a picture with anti semetic undertones. So you shouldn't post crap like this.
I don't even think the picture is remotely funny.

Re: Picture of the day
Y'know, I agree with conservatives that some people overreact to Obama-related jokes and comments as racist when they aren't. He's a public figure, and he shouldn't be immune to criticism and jokes at his expense.
But this picture and caption were just plain rude.
