Speaking Lyricallyl Day 5 - 11/11/08
Jak sie masz! I am Borat Sagdiyev! I am from Kazakhstan! I like sex....is niiiiiiice!
The Killing Tomato is niiiiice. He give me permissions from U.S. and A. governments to post game for the Speaking Lyrically today to celebrate big U.S. and A. holidays of Veterans Days, when whole family get together to eat Veterans and have sex. Is niiiiiice. My nieghbor Nushuktan Tulyaiagby does not celebrate U.S. and A. holidays. He is pain in my assholes. He say only gypsies eat Veterans, because Veterans too old and stringy. He is so stupid man!
My favorite place in U.S. and A. is California, where my Pamela live. It also home of Pearl Harbor and Texas, although many many Jews are there too, but they are kept in concentration camps called "movie studios".
It is time to be starting Speaking Lyrically game. Although Kazakhstan is most beautiful and glorious country on world, the Killing Tomato has asked for me to be putting down song lyrics that celebrate the U.S. and A. The Killing Tomato say to mentioning one point is going to be giving for each title and artist, and my game will be available for the playing until 12 noon tomorrow, Central Kazakh time (which he tell me is also noon Eastern time). He also say to say that anyone who does not put answers in spoiler must have rubber fist put in anoooos, so be carefuls, since that is not so nice a things. So enjoy the gaming....is niiiiiice!
1. Lord, I can't believe what I see
How could you be alone?
When you could sit right here beside me, girl
And make yourself at home
2. I'm stayin' here with some friends and they've got lots of room
You can sell your paintings on the sidewalk
By a cafe where I hope to be workin' soon
3. She'll find the note I left hangin' on her door
She'll laugh when she reads the part that says I'm leavin'
'Cause I've left that girl so many times before
4. On State Street, that great street, I just want to say
They do things they don't do on Broadway
5. We held a concert out in Brooklyn
To watch the Island bridges blow
They turned our power down
And drove us underground
But we went right on with the show
8. At the Hotel Flamingo, wearing black-market shoes
This loud Cuban band is crucifying John Lennon
No one wants to be lonely, no one wants to sing the blues
9. Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
You gotta lose your mind in....
10. City of Brotherly Love
Place I call home
Don't turn your back on me
I don't want to be alone
Love lasts forever

Okay the entire opening was harder to read than lolcats and totally went over my head. Probably because I didn't see that movie? Ha! But I could tell that, had I seen the movie, it would be funny and clever and I'd be embroidering it on a a pillow. (Okay, I have no humour today and I'm desperately sucking up to get a humour point for lameness.)

Is there a hidden meaning to why this is Day 6 and not Day 5? Or is that a Borat thang, I wouldn't understand?

Spoiler
Two quick notes:
1. Isn't this LS Day 5, not day 6? If not, can you kindly point me to day 5 so I can try and answer it?
2. I must protest the egregious lack of "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn"
Ok. Three notes: If there's some place where I'm supposed to write in that these are songs about specific cities, let's do that here

Of course I don't know the actual name of this song. Let's go with "My Kind of Town" by Frank Sinatra. I'm getting more and more confident in the name of the song, but now that I've filled in everything else, I'm more and more worried that every other song has a city name in its title. So how about "My Kind of Town (Chicago Is)"?
