I couldn't make this up if I tried.
The Caribbean island nation of Antigua and Barbuda is renaming its highest mountain, a 1300 foot hill currently known as Boggy Peak, in honor of Barack Obama. Henceforth, it will known as Mount Obama, in "lasting tribute" to Obama's election, according to PM Baldwin Spencer.

I'm curious what other things will be named after Obama.
I do know the city of San Francisco has proposed naming a sewage treatment plan after George W. Bush.

There was a figurative orgy of Kennedy-naming in '63-'64. Some places came to their senses and took back the old names.

Just saw his press conference on the news. Referencing talking with past presidents. What struck me was how iinept a reference to Nancy Reagan was. The link above reflects it, too. I guess he needs to be careful about whom he references when doing throwaway remarks.
It was Hill with the Eleanor thingie, not Nancy with seances. Although there was that astrologer stuff. Anyway, he needs to be careful with his speech.

Right now everyone is enraptured by Obama the symbol and no one is looking at Obama the man.
The first time something goes wrong in this country and people hold him accountable for it, you will see the adulation fade Bush went from 90+% approval to 30%- during his tenure and he was never on as high a pedestal with so many people as Obama is now.
