Going to Annapolis this weekend

#1 Post by christie1111 » Thu Nov 06, 2008 11:45 am

Daughter1111 is playing with her marching band in the national competition for her region.

Long bus ride down and back, but it is a fun weekend away with her.

Hope Husband works on the basement bathroom but I keep hearing rumors of golf and other things.

Hmmmm

Just do what I do. Trade sexual favors for household chores.

Have fun! The only time I was ever in Annapolis, it was too many degrees below zero and had blowing snow. It looked like a neat town, what little I was able to see through all of my bundled shivering!

Good luck to Daughter1111!

And to Mom as well, assuming she is a chaperone...

Does this resemble the seating arrangement on the bus?? >>>  :o :P   8) :D :D :o

She will be on the officer's bus and I will not. So I think I will manage to get reading and sewing done on the bus. I will prolly look like my avatar sitting on a bus.

I am not officially a chaperone but of course will help out as necessary.

Maybe I can confiscate some alcohol and have some fun in my hotel room!

I live in Annapolis. If you want suggestions (activities, restaurants, etc.), let me know. Sounds like you would not have your own transportation; so location of lodging could be important. In any event, if I can be of assistance here, you can let me know here or take it off-line, as you wish.

Enjoy the trip! I've seen Annapolis a number of times, but only from the window of a plane approaching BWI airport.

I will join your auxillary organization, People Who Don't Care Whether Other People Do Fantasy Sports, So Long As They Don't Have To.

I would like to be informed, however, if anyone ever comes up with a tricky name for keeping track of Fantasy Football stats, such as FantaMetrics or whatever it might turn out to be.

OK, I hereby dub our organization "Men and Women/People Against or Uncaring about Women Against Fantasy Sports Or Other People Involved In Fantasy Sports Assuming They Lack Involvement"
I know it's a mouthful but we can also call it "MAWPAUWAFSOOPIFSATLI" for short.

I also nominate SC as president and Annie for VP

I can be treasurer since you are both smarter than me. :|

I wish I could.

We are on the buses everywhere with the kids.

Staying at the Doubletree & Best Western which are apparently together.

But the fun part is the competition at the Naval Academy Stadium on Saturday. We were there 2 years ago.

I am hoping there is a bar at the hotel some of the parents will sneak down to.
