Where's the freakin moratorium lounge???

#1 Post by sunflower » Wed Nov 05, 2008 3:35 pm

I think we still need it today, hopefully things will die down later in the week???

I don't even have any food suggestions, I just ate a bag of skittles. I'm thinking Japanese for dinner, personally.

US teen compacted in garbage truck, survives

Wednesday, November 5, 2008
MILWAUKEE - Police in Milwaukee say a teenage boy has survived after being accidentally dumped into the back of a recycling truck and compacted.

Police say the 14-year-old ran away from a boot camp-style school for teens Monday and hid in a recycling bin filled with cardboard.

The bin was picked up by a Waste Management truck and dumped into the vehicle's rear compactor.

Waste Management spokeswoman Lynn Morgan says the truck continued on its collection route, compacting cardboard several times.

The boy was not discovered until the truck dumped its load at a recycling processing center.

He was semiconscious and was taken to a hospital, but police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Some people just have to be Wednesday morning quarterbacks.

I can't even laught at this story...we have to keep chasing a homeless guy out of our dumpster at my condo complex. He comes looking for recyclables to cash in. But we have separate recycle bins right next to the dumpster, I always tell him, take it from there, I don't care, please get out of the dumpster, you are going to get compacted!!! (It is likely because we have a compacting dumpster...it's not like people check for humans inside before hitting the button!!)

Exactly!!! Why anybody wants to ruin a perfectly good margarita by putting a salt lick on the rim is beyond me.

It's kind of hard to tell from that picture, but it looks like you ruined 'em, Cal! (salt-wise)

Well, I'm gonna assume that some of them have sugar on the rim, but it was the first one I found with more than one 'rita.

I've never heard of sugar on the rim of a margarita, but I guess someone somewhere probably does 'em that way.

That's how Chili's makes them, yet every time I'm surprised that it's sugar and not salt...

Chili's doesn't use sugar on a regular margarita (around here), but sugar is what is called for on a strawberry margarita (and I assume on other "sweeter" margaritas as well)

Pitchers of margaritas, no salt/salt, depending on preference, and a Cranium game, and you've got yourself a kick-ass partay!

El Torito sugars the rim of their fruity margaritas.
