I doubt over 5% of those young, newly registered voters could name 4 of the Supreme Court justices, both of their US Senators, or even their US Representative. But 75% of them could name the cast of Scrubs.
If what you say is true, only 5% of them cast an informed vote.
So why should we be happy that there was a new stream of people, 95% of which cast an uninformed vote?
They just diluted the votes of those who take the time to cast informed votes.
