I shoulda known, Mr. Toast Inferno....

I broke down and had to make another batch since the weather was so nasty. My husband is an Edge and I'm a Middle. Unfortunately, I have to wrestle the Middles from Stephen and Mini-me, so you would not be invited to share if I had to wrestle YOU also!

It was a roast chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, and biscuits kind of day. Not the crumbly biscuits you eat with ham, the flaky biscuits. How to make a coldrainywindy day bearable...

Since there are usually more edge pieces than middle pieces, I typically didn't have to fight too much. My sisters always used to get the middles and I'd get the pan with all the edges.

The corner pieces are to die for....

I can't believe I missed a discussion about brownies.

As with pizza, the way to savor a brownie is to start with the soft inner side and work your way to the outer edges, which should be firm and just a hint of crispness.

Well, if we're gonna get fancy, then I agree with you. The best brownie for ice cream comes from the middle of the pan. But straight out of the oven? Gimme an edge - or preferably a corner.

I am a blondie fan, not so much a brownie fan.

I make a batch of blondies, cut off all the edges and eat them all myself. There are no edge pieces.
