This year's Florida/Ohio

I know I focused on Virginia late last week, and if Senator McCain doesn't flip it back, it's all over (I don't believe in the Pennsylvania tactic).

However, if McCain wins Virginia, I think the race comes down to:

Colorado

State polls show it tightening, and there's a chance McCain could get it back.

There's a scenario in which we get an Electoral College tie, but i believe if McCain wins Colorado, he will also pull out Nevada, so that will avoid the tie.

I was messing with the AOL electoral college calculator this morning. If Obama gets Washington, Hawaii, Oregon, California, Florida, Wisconson, Michigan, Illinois, the Northeast, including PA and MD and McCain gets all of the rest, then it's a tie at 269 votes.

If Ohio goes to Obama and PA goes to McCain, then McCain wins.

I'm curious as to how Obama's comments about bankrupting the coal industry will play in OH, WV, VA, and especially PA. Since PA doesn't have early voting, everyone got a chance to hear this.

He said something today? All I'm aware of him saying anything about coal was last winter.

You'd think it would matter that he didn't actually...you know...SAY he was out to bankrupt the coal industry.
