Hud

Netflixed Hud as the first of a series of planned Paul Newman viewings over the winter.

I saw the movie as being about the old Man.

However, I really saw parts of myself in Hud and his relationship with the dad. I am really depressed lately-probably a mid-life crisis thingie-

Bad decisions that will haunt me the rest of my life were made on my part-18-20 years ago-because I listened to my Dad and basically sat with my thumb up my ass. Mainly-I did not buy land when opportunities presented themselves.

I realized too late that he had no vision for growth-his focus was all on the day-to-day stuff-If I had realized that sooner-I could have worked around it better.

Just have to vent a little.

Take it easy on yourself and your dad, Spock. We've all missed opportunities. The only possible exceptions to that are folks who more accurately should count themselves as lucky than smart.
