Turning the clocks back
I am not looking forward to it being dark at 4:30PM.
That is all.
That is all.

Re: Turning the clocks back
At first I thought you were talking about 4:30 in the morning, then realized you meant at night. It doesn't get dark here at 4:30. Are we that far away? I mean, I realize shadows and all, but...

The earliest it ever gets dark here is 5:30. That's not great, but I'm willing to trade it for light by the time I leave for work.

It really does get dark at 4:30PM after we change the clocks.
I hate it.

You need to run down the driveway singing sunny songs at that time of day. And waving sparklers.
That's not a bad idea. I may do that, too.

This is the one I like, because I get an extra hour of sleep. I hate the spring one where its cruelly taken away from me. When I worked overnight shifts, it always seemed I was scheduled to work on Daylight Saving Time night for 9 hours, but never on the corresponding Fall Back night, when I would only have to work 7 hours.

Re: Turning the clocks back
I work every Saturday night, so I've worked every time change night for the past 10 years (Except Spring Forward 1999, which fell on the weekend of Easter which, at that time, we got off on that Saturday night). It seems each time we do something different to adjust for the extra or missing hour. I'd imagine tonight, since we are not being allowed overtime in these difficult finacial times, we will be leaving at 6:00 instead of 7:00. I will likely not end up taking advantage of the extra hour of sleep tomorrow.....Rafferty Barnes wrote:This is the one I like, because I get an extra hour of sleep. It will be nice though to actually drive home in the daylight though come Monday morning.....
