Heavy cold meds non sequitur
So I'm taking Mucinex. (I don't even know if this counts as a "heavy" cold med.) The recommended dose of 1-2 tablets is supposed to last 12 hours. One tablet does not make it 12 hours, so I've started taking one at a time -- every six hours. The overlap makes me drowsy and gives me an uncontrollable urge to commandeer the nearest dog bed.

Sheesh! I just got over mine (except for a bit of a lingering cough), so I feel for you. Hope YOU feel better soon, Silver!

The closest bed is the one where Irish is snoozing. She's the littlest, so she couldn't put up as much of a fight, and I could get there from my chair via gravity.
This sounds appealing to me.

Babysitting - so I missed everything. Thank God the little rascal is
asleep. I am so fortunate I didn't catch his cold.
Judy, you can get the Mucinex in a liquid, maybe you could tolerate that better.
I didn't think it made you sleepy. One of the Robitussin's has the same ingredient
in it and it's non drowsy.

Mine hit while I was in Pigeon Forge. It got catch in my lungs and never really made it to my head or nose. My sinuses wanted to explode, but just for one day. My cough was so bad, I sounded like a 3 pack a day smoker.
It finally went away.
