Son1111 Story - A non-political thread

#1 Post by christie1111 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 8:37 pm

With some proudness on his mothers part.

Last night they had a game. Son1111 has started every game even though he has never played any football officially before. So he is enjoying it.

But as an offensive lineman, you really don't get a lot of glory. You screw up, especially on the left side where he is, and the QB takes a bad hit.

So last night he got a moment of glory. Our QB fumbled and Son1111 recovered the ball! He said he is now leading the lineman with yardage. At 1/2 a yard. LOL!

He also started the game as a captain. He is the only one who has gotten to do it twice.

Oh, and they put him in on defense briefly to give a guy a rest.

They lost 12-6. But you would never have known. He was chattering so much last night, you would not have known he was a 14 yo boy! Swampyturtles called and she says she doesn't ever remember talking to him that long.

Thanks for listening! Um, reading.

I'm glad he's enjoying it and having a good season.

Your son should be very proud of his performance.
