McCain/Palin yard sign

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:46 am

I removed one.

The end of the common drive (the 5 houses on my hill use the same common drive to access their own driveways) is owned primarily by the guy at the top of the hill. We own the right half of the lower portion of the common drive. The road sign (for the private road name), the paper boxes and the American flag sit on our property.

Last year the guy at the top of the hill had the common drive totally redone. He did not redo the part we own. Very cute, I thought.

Anyhow - I came home last night and there was the lawn sign - on my property. I removed it.

My liberal guilt has me a bit, but not enough to put it back on my property.

He has not called.

If he does, I will tell him I did it.

If there is another one there today, I will remove that one as well.

And tomorrow too.

Pea,

Even better, put the sign back, on his property, the best place would be where it's somewhat obscured. Go get an Obama (or Barr, or Nader, or whoever) sign that's bigger, and put it on your property.

I would think that would settle the issue.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

Check to make sure it not electrified
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Man, I wish I had the time to FedEx you my extra Obama sign. (I was forced to buy several signs as "thieves" have been stealing only the Obama signs in our fair conservative city.)

Some joker did the same for our subdivision. Planted a McCain sign on the property owned by the neighborhood. It was gone the next day.
