Coke count up to five.

Plus some fresh-baked chocolate-chip muffins, courtesy of my favo(u)rite daughter. (No school in our district today...I would like to think that it is to celebrate BB Day...)

Desk area is still a sty, though. My estimation is that it will take a full day to eliminate all of the clutter using Conventional Methods. Or five minutes using arson.

I am not sure RB - or my wife, for that matter - would approve of the latter, however...

Sending advance good-luck vibes from NJ before I go to lunch. You can do it!

(Those chocolate chip muffins sound delish. Could you bring some to the Moratorium Lounge sometime?) :D

I think I'd approve of arson because I wouldn't have to sort out all the stuff with account numbers and other sensitive material prior to pitching. Save wear and tear on the shredder.

One of my 1600 phone calls was to the service you have to call before digging to make sure you don't hit utility lines, and the lady asked if we were using explosives or blasting devices. I bet my sons would love that, but we're only planting two shrubs...

Not sure.

But at first passing glance it looked like a Ninja Turtle was hiding in there somewhere...

I could send Lizbit over. She could dig those two holes in a jiffy!

I have no doubt that I'll eventually be asked to call the utility number every time she wants to go outside.

It's just that I KNOW the electric line to my neighbor's house is right near where we want to plant. They had to move it when we put in the pool because it was running through the middle of our yard. They were the first to build so I guess the crews ran through vacant lots rather than where they were supposed to go. Of course, they won't mark the sprinkler system, so I'm on my own if I hit that...

Mini-me's hitting coach (and it's a long-distance call since he's from Vancouver and kept his old cell number when he moved) and one insurance agent to give them the other insurance agent's number so they can renew a policy so far. But since I have a bunch of bills to enter online I'd rather do that now so I can track the progress of the BB's winning 3 million bucks in one day!

The phone can wait a bit...

I never call that number because I'm usually looking to damage the utility lines when I want to have a little fun.....
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

--squirrelmama (10/3/07)

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

But couldn't they help you locate the utility lines? Might save you some valuable time. And how would they know it was you calling before evrything went out?

And then you could blame Rexer for the whole thing!

You may have to negotiate with him, though. I don't think he accepts acorns as payment.

Been trying to do everything in my power to force that phone to ring. Nothing seems to be working.

Any suggestions?

Well...the phone did ring after all.

It was Rafferty Barnes, telling me that she did not tape today...she is on for a week from today.

Off to take care of other business for a bit...thanks, all...catch you a little later!

Way cool! I'll be in the audience for the first set of tapings. Not only do I get to audition and (for the first time) watch a regular show taped, there should be a BB in the Hot Seat while I'm there!

Really aggravating, especially when you have to travel a bit
to get there, schedule time off work, set up 3 PAF's, etc.

Now she gets to have another week of nerves to deal with (or I would anyway).
